We had a mix of Yosemite first timers and old timers, so it was nice to split up and do our activities and reconvene at the end of the day.Alpine Retreat is the oldest property, but it was very cozy and had all the amenities we needed to stay for 3 days. It also had a washer dryer in the kitchen! And the nook was just the best place to read, get a view, and listen to the birds along with eating meals there

After passing Bridalveil Falls, proceed uphill through the 0.8 mile long Wawona Tunnel and then 8 more miles to the "Yosemite West - Private Development" sign, on your right. Gas availability is limited to Crane Flat, Wawona and Tuolumne Meadows, with NO GAS IN THE VALLEY! Plus it costs a dollar more per gallon than in non-park locations
