They also have cabins and higher end accomodations here.I was told that Curry Village is a little better than Housekeeping Camp because there is a lot more activity here. Also the tents are super close to each other and while they do enforce the 10 PM quiet time, you can basically hear everyone in the surrounding tents and all their business

At Highway 120, climb to the alpine town of Groveland and the Iron Door Saloon, a onetime post office building that has welcomed folks on their way to and from Yosemite since 1896. Nature will wow you.This last visit I actually walked in to the visitors center and asked questiones, checked out the two short films that play in the theater. The afternoon clouds part, the sun appears, and the lake has a fantastic reflection of the brown bushes, the green trees, and the white granite masses! Next day, we take the shuttle from the Ahwahnee, past Yosemite Village, the Lodge, Curry Village to Happy Isles, and do the Mist trail, to the top of Vernal Falls

We hauled 3 wheeled luggages, a day pack, and 2 fanny packs in one trip, going up the 12 stairs at the front of the building, and 25 more steep stairs to the 2nd floor. As a note, some soundproofing on the doors between rooms would go a long way in helping mitigate the differing activities of say, early rising hikers and wedding attendees
