The Boy in the Striped Pajamas DVD Review
The same is true of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, a new film from England which relives modern mankind's greatest tragedy through the eyes of an innocent 8-year-old boy. That fantastic conceit that fueled the Irish Boyne's best-selling book must be accepted and is understandably the key ingredient to the film's affecting voice

This is the first film I have ever seen in which the whole audience were silent from beginning to end, and then, when the film ended, not a single person moved for a long time afterwards. This film ripped me apart and reminded me (and my partner) of humanity inside even the most hardened man.Perfectly weighted film in every way, from pace to acting and all framed with a wonderful score

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
We must understand that it is our responsibility to one another to never again allow ignorance, prejudice or blind faith to lead us to a situation where we treat other human beings in such a horrible fashion. There was a TV movie done in the 1980s by Ed Asner about the friendship of 2 girls in Vienna before the war, one Jewish one not, something like this moronic book, but today young people are more indoctrinated, less critical, and not much able to discern between fantasy make belief and reality
